I have so enjoyed taking part in my second 30 in 30 challenge with the wonderful Leslie Saeta and over one thousand other artists world wide.  This time I noticed how much faster I am painting, using much more instinct, the ideas and designs seem to flow easier… as if every part of the painting process has been planned out, when in fact it hasn’t.  The challenges open up new doors to technique, subject matter and imagination.  I can’t wait for the next one !!

My last painting is “Sweetheart”, inspired by my Grandmother Isabella who did the most beautiful embroidery on linen tablecloths, napkins and handkerchiefs – I still have many of these beautiful heirlooms – so this is a tribute to her beautiful craft.

In my neighborhood there is a beautiful Maple tree where in the summer months neighbors and friends gather, talk, share, it’s a place of comfort and love. We call it “Maple Cafe”. Even in the winter, it is so beautiful ❤

The blizzard of 2015 has gone and I’m turning my attention to our wonderful New England Patriots !
Let’s not forget the huge army of Patriots Pet Nation who will be cheering on our team, including Archie Hawk and his best pal Brady the cocker spaniel 🙂

Good morning, woke up to the news that we will be welcoming a “historic” blizzard tomorrow night in New England !  They are suggesting I may have 30 inches of white stuff on my driveway (to add to the 10 I received yesterday!) So today’s piece is keeping me calm and centered… it’s called “Keep Your Heart Open”
