A Love So Pure

Dedicated to my Best Friend “Archie”.

Sweet Boy,
Love of my life.
A heart so giving,
My bundle of joy.

Patter of paws
On my wooden stairs,
My favorite sound,
As I start my day.

Constant companion,
Exploring the world.
The hellos the goodbyes,
Of loved ones we share.

You awaken me softly,
With a sweet loving kiss.
Brush my cheek gently
With your paws.

Your regal plume
Sashes and sways.
I know you are happy,
I know your ways.

The romp and the roll,
The chase down the hole.
Your joy at hearing the name “Lucy”,
These are perfect days.

Always and forever,
The two of us together.
Heart to heart,
Never will we part.

Thank you for loving me Archie,
For showing me a love so pure.
